Short Madonna related news. Italian actress Mariangela Melato, star of the original Swept Away film in the role Madonna reprised in 2003 has died today aged 71 after a long illness.
Melato was not impressed with Madonna’s re-enactment of her Swept Away role and discussed the matter several times on Italian tv.
