Queen of the Nile

Queen of Pop Madonna planned to wear a pair of $1 million diamond earrings, which once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor aka “Queen of the Nile Cleopatra”, during her amazing Super Bowl 2012 performance in but she scrapped the idea because the jewelry was “too heavy” for her energetic dance routine.

For the show Madonna was lent Taylor’s Marina B diamond tasseled earrings, a present from her twice husband Richard Burton, from new owners who bought them at a recent Christie’s auction.

white gold-and-diamond earrings by Bulgari.
