The MDNA sound-check party at River Plate
Having the chance to share some unique and unscripted moments together with the Queen herself was certainly one of the highlights of the MDNA Tour for all the fans who were lucky enough to enter the venue in time for a glimpse of sound-check.
A very rare opportunity for the concerts in arenas, and almost a given for Early Entry fans at stadiums in Europe, what Monte Pittman called “the sound-check party” could span from a couple of songs (ending up with a “Turn Up The Radio” sing-along seemed a must) to almost an entire shows (with songs rehearsed that didn’t end up being performed, like in Edinburgh).
Sound-checking with Madonna was also an opportunity to learn some behind the scenes secrets, like her nodding at her team when she realized that the fans were actually spot-on with the lyrics of “Physical Attraction“, or the tease from Madonna and her band “not being ready yet” with “Love Spent“, which ended up as a fantastic addition to the setlist along the second leg of the Tour.
The two MDNA showsin Buenos Aires where among the very last sound-check parties, but they were special nonetheless, and MadonnaTribe contributor Juano from Argentina lets you feel how it was like sharing his images from both dates at the River Plate stadium.
